Introduce Apples. List as many characteristics about apples as you can.
Sort various types of apples by color & size
Talk about the different parts of the apple: skin, flesh, stem, core, seeds.
AB Pattern various types of apples by color & size
Review parts of the apple. Which apple do you like? Students will have the opportunity to taste a red and green apple and will graph which apple they liked the best. As a class we will interpret the graph.

Discuss the apple growth cycle: seed, sapling, grown up tree, tree with apples.
Discuss what the apple tree looks like through the seasons. Show apple tree in winter with no leaves or apples. Next, show apple tree in spring with pink/white blossoms. Then, show summer apple tree with leaves. Last, show fall tree with apples!
